What Services Does LIVEWELL Provide

What Services Does LIVEWELL Provide

LIVEWELL Home Care provides non-medical in-home support services designed to promote independence, safety, and quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities. We currently offer two main service types:

1. Personal Assistance Services (PA)

Personal Assistance Services (PA) help individuals with disabilities complete tasks they would typically do independently if not for their disability. These services are often essential to supporting someone in living safely and successfully in their own home or participating in their community.

Common PA Supports Include:

  • General safety supervision

  • Assistance with daily living activities

  • Support with attending school or college

  • Help navigating public transportation

  • Medication reminders

  • Recreational and community-based activities

  • Running errands and grocery shopping

Attendant Care (within PA) may also include:

Activities of Daily Living (ADLs):

  • Eating

  • Bathing

  • Dressing

  • Walking

  • Transferring

  • Toileting

Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs):

  • Light housekeeping

  • Laundry

  • Meal preparation

  • Medication reminders

  • Using the phone

  • Community access or social participation

2. In- Home Respite Care Services

Respite care provides temporary relief to the individual’s primary or family caregiver. This allows caregivers time to rest, attend appointments, or manage personal responsibilities while knowing their loved one is safely cared for at home.

Respite Services May Include:

  • Supervision and companionship

  • Personal care assistance (e.g., eating, grooming, toileting, bathing, dressing)

  • Support with social interaction and recreational activities

  • Light housekeeping and laundry

  • Meal preparation and medication reminders

  • Mobility or transfer assistance

  • Basic assistance with routines and daily structure

Respite vs. Personal Attendant (PA) Services

  • Respite services must be provided in the home only and are focused on temporary care and supervision while the primary caregiver gets a break.

  • Personal Attendant services may include community-based activities, public outings, and skill-building support outside the home.
