What Services Does LIVEWELL Not Provide

At LIVEWELL, we’re committed to delivering compassionate, person-centered care that aligns with state regulations and Regional Center requirements. In order to maintain compliance and ensure safety, there are specific services we do not provide and activities that Care Partners are not permitted to supervise.

Services LIVEWELL Does Not Provide:

LIVEWELL does not provide the following services:

  • Medical or Nursing Services

    • Administering medication (including injections or IVs)

    • Wound care or dressing changes

    • Monitoring vital signs

    • Catheter care or feeding tubes

    • Any task requiring a licensed medical professional

  • Housekeeping Services

    • Deep cleaning, carpet cleaning, or house organization beyond basic tidying during a shift

    • Moving furniture or lifting heavy objects

  • Behavioral Therapy or Clinical Counseling

    • Care Partners are not trained therapists and cannot deliver ABA therapy, counseling, or mental health treatment

While Care Partners cannot create or deliver therapy services, they can support the implementation of approved Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) or Individual Support Plans developed by a licensed clinician or behavioral team.

Examples include:

  • Following specific behavior strategies outlined in the client’s plan

  • Using redirection tools and coping techniques already approved

  • Supporting the client’s goals related to emotional regulation or social skills

  • Reinforcing structure, routines, and strategies taught by professionals

Care Partners receive guidance during onboarding and orientation on how to respectfully and safely follow behavioral plans within their role.

Activities Care Partners Cannot Supervise:

Even if part of a regular household routine, Care Partners may not be left responsible for supervising:

  • Siblings or Other Children

    • Only Regional Center-approved clients may be supported during a shift

    • Siblings must be cared for by a parent or guardian during the shift

  • Water Activities Without Direct Parent/Guardian Supervision

    • This includes swimming, bathing, or activities near a pool or large body of water

  • Use of Fire or Dangerous Equipment

    • Care Partners cannot supervise or operate power tools, lawn mowers, electric scooters/E-Bikes or similar equipment with the client
