If you are a live-in caregiver (meaning you reside full-time in the same home as the client), you are exempt from Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) requirements.
A live-in caregiver is someone who permanently resides in the same household as the individual receiving care. This applies to:
Parents
Siblings
Family-selected care partners
Agency-placed providers with confirmed residency
If you are officially documented as a live-in caregiver, you are not required to clock in and out using the EVV system.
However, you are still required to submit your monthly timesheet for payment.
If your residency status changes, you must notify the LIVEWELL team immediately.
If you're unsure whether you meet the exemption criteria:
Submit a support ticket at www.lwhcare.com
Select “General Inquiry” and include your name, the client’s name, and a note asking to confirm your EVV exemption status
Our team will verify your file and let you know if any documentation is needed.
