Live-In Care Partner

Live-In Care Partner

If you are a live-in caregiver (meaning you reside full-time in the same home as the client), you are exempt from Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) requirements.

Who Qualifies as a Live-In Caregiver?

A live-in caregiver is someone who permanently resides in the same household as the individual receiving care. This applies to:

  • Parents

  • Siblings

  • Family-selected care partners

  • Agency-placed providers with confirmed residency

Do I Need to Clock In and Out?

  • If you are officially documented as a live-in caregiver, you are not required to clock in and out using the EVV system.

  • However, you are still required to submit your monthly timesheet for payment.

  • If your residency status changes, you must notify the LIVEWELL team immediately.

Not Sure If You're Considered a Live-In Caregiver?

If you're unsure whether you meet the exemption criteria:

  • Submit a support ticket at www.lwhcare.com

  • Select “General Inquiry” and include your name, the client’s name, and a note asking to confirm your EVV exemption status

Our team will verify your file and let you know if any documentation is needed.
